About
Kim's eventful career racked up many championship titles from 1980 through 1992. Her powerful offense brought her success as a champion of the California State Open, Pacific Coast Open, U.S. Closed, and several gold, silver and bronze medals at the U.S. Olympic Festivals. She also still holds the record for the fastest reflexes ever recorded live on ESPN by any athlete in any sport in 1986. In 1988 she qualified for the Olympic Trials and had continued success until a shattered right arm injury in 1992 ended her Olympic dream.
After 18 years away from the sport, she launched a miraculous comeback beginning at SPiN (owned by Susan Sarandon) in 2010 and was shortly thereafter featured in Bloomberg Businessweek Magazine. In 2012, she qualified for and finished in the Top 12 at the U.S. Olympic Trials for Team USA!
Kim is currently hosting and headling major ping-pong events worldwide and in 2015 founded PongStarz to produce a new subculture of ping-pong thened events!
